How To Wash Cotton Bed Sheets

Generally, cotton is soft, and when the right quality of cotton is used to make your bed sheets, you'll be sure to feel the difference in the sleep quality when you go to bed. More importantly, you'll probably wake up fresh after sleeping comfy in your cotton bed sheets.

While the initial softness is important, there are also some key points to consider to maintain your bedding. This helps you ensure that you don't destroy the quality of the sheets by mishandling or poor quality control. Since we are now spending more time at home, it's important to avoid deteriorating the quality of our sheets due to overuse.

Good quality cotton sheets don't take a lot of effort in maintaining as they are easy to wash and keep soft. We recommend you to use mild cleaning detergent to wash your sheets. Avoid using regular clothes detergents as those can be harsh on the bed sheet fabric.

Here are some pointers for you to consider before washing your cotton bed sheets:

• Machine wash with gentle cycle
• Hand wash with cold water
• First Time separate wash
• Do not bleach
• Dry in shade
• Tumble dry

White and light coloured bed sheets could be washed with warm water, but avoid washing them with other coloured sheets, especially if washing colours for the first time. This will help you avoid bleeding colours that could stain your white sheets permanently. Wash deep/dark colours separately with cold water (recommended)

Wash the bedsheet at least once a week to keep them fresh and air them out. Dry them in shade to retain the colour and softness. Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.
